My research interest is variability, change and interaction of the atmosphere and the ocean, and their interactions from the perspective of climate science, at the Ocean Climate Physics Laboratory, Graduate School of Science, Hokkaido University.
The main research themes conducted so far are as follows:
Late 1990s - Early 2000s | Decadal-scale variability in the atmosphere and ocean |
Late 2000s - Present | Atmosphere-ocean interaction in the mid-latitudes. The first study in this series, Minobe et al. (2008), was featured on the cover of Nature. |
Late 1990s - Early 2000s | Decadal-scale variability in the atmosphere and ocean |
2010s | Sea level rise |
Late 2010s - Present | Marine biogeochemistry and marine ecosystem variability |
2020s | Climate prediction |
